PlaceIT 5.0 is the flagship ideathon by the IEEE Professional Communication Society (PCS) , designed to bring together aspiring innovators and problem-solvers to tackle real-world challenges through creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurial thinking. This two-day innovation challenge takes participants through the complete journey of transforming a problem into a viable solution. Teams will identify meaningful problems, develop innovative ideas, build prototypes or solution concepts, receive guidance from industry and academic mentors, and pitch their solutions to a panel of judges. Event Structure: Round 1: Launch & Problem Statement Release: Explore carefully curated real-world problem statements, understand the challenge, and select a problem your team wants to solve. Round 2: Ideation Masterclass: Learn practical approaches to Design Thinking, ideation, user validation, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development through an expert-led masterclass.
